Hey Insiders,
Just a quick note to say—we're down to the last few spots for our AI-focused China trip this summer.
Our Substack folks always get first dibs, and many of you already reached out after the initial launch post. Now that we’re expanding to our broader network, I wanted to give you a heads-up before spots fully close.
What’s happening?
We’re heading to Shanghai for WAIC (World Artificial Intelligence Conference) 2025—but our focus is what happens around the conference, not just inside it.
This is a curated, on-the-ground experience for those who want a real look at how China is building and deploying AI across sectors. Infra, robotics, vertical apps, LLMs, and the state’s role in shaping it all—we’ll go deep, with people building the future.
What’s in the program?
We’ll visit startups and scaleups working on:
LLMs (Chinese + bilingual)
edge + industrial AI deployments
smart cities / robotics
education, healthcare, and security use cases
Plus:
WAIC and satellite events (curated, not cattle call)
Founders-only sessions
Local VC briefings + insider market views
Lots of dumplings 🍜
No fluff, no hand-holding. This is for folks who want unvarnished access and informed discussion—not keynotes and glossy decks.
