Discussions to Watch
Rumored Edtech Regulations
You might have seen $GSX, $TAL and $EDU all drop over the past few weeks. There are lots of rumors floating around in China as to regulation of after-school tutoring programs, especially regarding sales & marketing, but even potentially concerning pricing. Read about all the rumors. Yes, I think I’ve found them all!
Throwback: Sun Art Retail / Chinese Supermarkets
Great post by QuanNM that got some more answers this week from Desmond and GF. Highly recommended. Is CGB going to be a big blow? Decide for yourself and post your responses!
Zhihu IPO
China’s Quora already started trading last Friday. A pretty terrible debut (priced lower end, ended day almost 20% lower). I’m not super impressed with the company despite being a fan. Speed has been a big issue in the past and content commerce is also very confusing. What do you think?
TurboTax for China?
Sky asked if there is TurboTax for China. A great question! No for personal use. Enrique gives a few examples for business use. Read the comments for more.
